The ALAS Management Summit is postponed to 2021

The event for the leaders and security managers of the Americas, which will take place between October 14 and 15 of this year in Miami, Florida; was re-scheduled for 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Miami, May 11, 2020. The Latin American Security Association - ALAS - and Ventas de Seguridad magazine, organizers of The ALAS Management Summit, announce that the event scheduled for this year will be held in 2021.

The new dates for the tenth edition will be announced in the coming weeks. The decision was taken after extensive consultation with the ALAS Management Summit clients on the feasibility of the initially announced dates: October 14 and 15, in the midst of the global pandemic.

"2020 generated drastic changes in the way most industries operate, and of course security is no exception," said Alberto Alvarez, CEO of ALAS. "This has generated new challenges that we are facing from different digital strategies, looking for the market to continue moving that the ties and relationships between the protagonists remain strong," he added.

First reported in Wuhan, China on December 31, 2019, the Coronavirus COVID-19 was declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020. The organization of the ALAS Management Summit, aware of the different measures taken by Latin American governments and health authorities, decided to reschedule the event for 2021, on dates yet to be announced.

“After evaluating the global event landscape for 2020, we consider this to be the wisest decision, and we will aim to arrive in 2021 very strong to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our main event. Meanwhile, we will be very present, and we will continue to demonstrate the importance of association, especially in these times of crisis, "said ALAS CEO.

"Although we understand that this can cause inconvenience, we consider the health and safety of our exhibitors and participants to be our main concern," says Max Jaramillo, the ALAS Management Summit Show Director.

The next edition of the ALAS Management Summit will take place next year and will be the reason to meet again and celebrate our 10 years, see you in 2021!
